South African rugby Union player Warner Kok proposed to his childhood sweetheart Zanyika on a romantic Safari get away in 2017. Growing up together the couple have supported each other trough highs and lows, and have come to be not only lovers but each other’s best friend. Testament to the Olympic medalist’s romantic nature, is the heartwarming ritual he performs every time he scores a Try, during a game, kissing Zanyika’s name which is tattooed on to his wrist.

The only way of celebrating a love like this is with a romantic destination elopement on the most idiotic Greek island, Santorini. Warner and Zanyika collaborated with the talented wedding planing duo, Julia and Evita, who took the couples ideas and turned them in to a modern yet dreamily romantic, one of a kind, intimate event. The main inspiration was drawn from the bride artistic side and her love of flowers. The colour palette was dominated dusty pinks and soft yellows wit occasional, deep red accents. The couple’s positive energy was completely and utterly contagious. The air was filled with a mixture of excitement, anticipation and happiness. For me it was so much fun capturing Zanyika and Warner’s playful energy on camera, truly unforgettable experience.
